The USA Clay Target League is a nonprofit corporation and the nation’s leading independent provider of clay target shooting sports to secondary and postsecondary schools. The League’s priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship – in that order. 100,000 student athletes in 2025. League participation has allowed students of all backgrounds and abilities to experience a safe, fun, community-oriented outdoor sport that they can participate in for the rest of their lives. Along with the friendships, skills and passion cultivated through the League, clay target athletes carry something even greater—our country’s heritage. By adding a substantial number of new participants annually, the League is creating the next generation of shooting sports enthusiasts; the future of our outdoor recreation clubs, conservation efforts and so much more. Not every kid is cutout to play most high school sports. But that doesn’t mean they can experience the fun, excitement, and camaraderie of team sports. This video will explain how clay target meets the wants and needs of all students. Spring Season Schedule Feb 1 Team and student athlete registration opens. Mar 25 Team and student athlete registration closes Noon CT. Last day for athlete and/or team withdrawal for registration fee refund. Mar 31 Practice Week 1 begins. Apr 7 Practice Week 2 begins. Apr 14 Reserve Week begins. Apr 15 Conferences announced and State Tournament registration opens. Apr 21 Competition Week 1 begins. Apr 28 Competition Week 2 begins. May 1 State Tournament registration closes at NOON CT. May 5 Competition Week 3 begins. May 12 Competition Week 4 begins. May 19 Competition Week 5 begins. May 26 Fun Week begins. May 27 Season final results posted by 5pm CT. May 28 Tier 1 National Championship registration opens. May 30 Tier 2 National Championship registration opens (if applicable).
